have you looked into free legal aid? google your state and see who is available nearby.believe it or not they are very sharp and the cost is not bad, sometimes even free.

tigerbolt:
No, the thought never crossed my mind. Thank You very, very much for your insight. I will be awake all night so I will add it to the list. Thank You.
I wish I could repay you somehow, but I know I don't have anything that you probably already have in much, much better condition. [Regardless, let me know if there is something you think I may have that you would like.]

Thank You -- Sincerely,
--- AshesRising

I am a bloodsucking lying scumbag piece of shit, i.e. an attorney, but I don't know the first thing about tax law, and certainly not in Mass. Also, anyone that would give you advice on a public forum like this, or offline in an email, probably should be taken with a heavy grain of salt for a variety of professional and ethical issues. All those weasel words aside, tigerbolt nailed on it the head - legal aid can be very helpful. Also, check out whether any area law schools have clinical programs that might be able to help you. Sometimes you might find some pretty bright dedicated law students under the supervision of a clinical leader that will take on these types of things. That said, I like Tigerbolt's suggestion. At least they can point you in the right direction.

bluedevil: All of those adjectives you use to describe yourself are false. You are the dude that introduced me to "Richard Thompson," remember(?) That alone added tremendous value to my life.

bluedevil: thank you for the warning regarding public forums, etc., however I am desperate. I researched the so-called "professional, legitimate" sources and the money they wanted up-front would be enough to appease the Feds and Mass DOR at least for a few months. I have nowhere else to turn so I came here. --- And check it out: I never would have known about the options that both you and Tigerbolt offer so there is Hope.

Thank You ...may your Duke team enjoy a successful ride in the tourney,
